We're a group of Jackson, Michigan democrats meeting to have a good evening together, share ideas and opinions, and work in support of democratic ideals. Most of us, but certainly not all, are members of the Democratic party, but this Meetup Group is entirely independent.

Do you favor the secular ideals of fairness, justice, liberty, and equality? Would you like to see reason and pragmatism used in our governance, instead of blind ideology and appeals to emotion? It is often said that "reality has a liberal bias". Debate in this nation has become increasingly noxious, mostly due to the stubborn irrationality of our society's more "regressive" elements.
